Pick-your-own blueberries

We will be open for pick-your-own blueberries on Wednesday and Thursday July 26 and 27. Depending on the weather, we plan to be closed on Friday the 28th to accommodate the pre-harvest interval of an insecticide application. It appears, at this time, that we have got the fruit fly issue under control. This will result in changes to our spray schedule and will affect the days of the week that we are open. Please keep posted.

Closed Indefinitely

I am sorry, we are closed for blueberry picking until further notice. An issue has developed with SWD (spotted winged drosophila) a type of fruit fly. We will remain closed until we can bring this issue under control. This will require a change in our spray schedule and possibly the products we use. This may also require a change in the days of the week we are open to accommodate pre-harvest intervals. Further information will be posted when it is available.

Blueberry season over

The blueberry season is over for 2016. The blueberries were early this year. We started on July 2. In a more average year, they start around the 10th to the 12th. The season has also ended early this year. We hope to see you next year.

Blueberry picking

Starting Tuesday, July 5, we will be open daily, except Sundays, from 8 till 4:30. The price is $2.10 per pound for pick-your-own blueberries. The season will probably last about 3 or 4 weeks. Sometimes the berries get picked faster than they can ripen and we have to close for a few days. We were open Saturday, July 2 to pick some early berries. We often pick them in about 1 day. On Saturday, we only covered about 1/4 of the ground in early berries. There is a larger gap than usual this year between the ripening of the early berries and the mid-season berries.

   Jun 30

We will be open Saturday, July 2 from 8 AM till 4:30 PM to pick a few acres of early blueberries. We will only be open that one day at this time. We have a limited acreage of early berries. There is a larger gap this year between the early berries and the mid-season berries. The mid-season berries will not be ready until near the end of this coming week. We will open again at that time.
